From the outside, your role looks fulfilling and rewarding.

You’re the one representing your organisation, managing relationships, and making a difference in the communities where you operate.

But behind the scenes, it's often a very different story.

You know the value of what you do, yet you still find yourself having to explain it over and over again.

You’re expected to deliver on commitments, but you’re not always given the resources or support needed to make it happen.

You’re invited into conversations about important decisions, but your ideas and input are often overlooked or overruled.

You’re constantly balancing competing demands, supporting organisational plans, protecting your company’s reputation, while still trying to do what's best for the local community.

You take that responsibility seriously.

You love what you do, but holding all of that together can be exhausting.

And without people around you who truly understand the realities of your role, it can feel lonely and frustrating.

If you’ve ever ended the day wishing you had someone to talk to who really gets it, you’re not alone.

I know because I’ve been there.

I had the passion, the ideas, and the enthusiasm. I assumed that because it was my responsibility to lead on community engagement, my input and judgement would be taken seriously. But time and again, I came up against resistance.

Although it was acknowledged that community engagement was important, I wasn’t always given the support or resources I needed to do it well.

Over time, the pressure I was putting myself under caught up with me. I burned out. I was exhausted, disillusioned, and I no longer recognised myself inside or outside of work.

Looking back, what I needed most was support and connection.

I didn’t have people around me who really understood my role, people I could share challenges with, swap ideas with, or turn to for advice.

I also didn’t have access to training or development opportunities within the organisation to prepare me for the challenges I was facing such as influencing senior leaders or handling scrutiny in high-pressure situations. When I looked into funding these myself, they were often far too expensive. Covering the cost wasn’t an option.

That’s why I created the Community Collective™.

It’s the space I wish I’d had:

  • A place to connect with others in similar roles.
  • Somewhere to talk through challenges and hear how others have handled similar situations.
  • An accessible way to strengthen your skills, build confidence, and operate with greater authority in your role.

The Community Collective™ brings together connection, development and support, giving you the tools to do the job well without losing yourself in the process.

Imagine having a space where:

  • You can talk openly about your challenges and feel understood.
  • You hear how others approach similar situations, so you’re not left figuring it out on your own.
  • You take part in expert-led sessions on setting boundaries, building confidence and creating influence, learning skills you can use in conversations with colleagues and senior leaders.
  • You stop second-guessing yourself after difficult discussions and feel more assured in the judgement calls you make.

The Community Collective™ gives you the space to talk things through, strengthen your skills and learn from others in similar roles, so you can do your role well and sustain it long term.

Too often, the people responsible for community engagement and social value are expected to deliver on big commitments without the support, resources or development opportunities they need — and I’m on a mission to change that.

I’ve spent over a decade working in community engagement across both public and private sectors: from supporting police teams to build trust, to leading engagement across more than 400 sites in one of the UK’s largest companies. I know how challenging and lonely these roles can be, because I’ve been there myself.

I believe that no one should have to burn out in order to be taken seriously. With the right support, connection and tools, you can grow in confidence, build the skills you need, and protect your wellbeing along the way.

That’s why I created the Community Collective™: to give you the space I wish I’d had — a community where you can connect, learn and feel supported both personally and professionally.
